Thank you cards

What exactly is the protocol for thank you notes? It is an old tradition being quickly replaced by e-mails and text messaging. I think it adds a personal touch to take out the few minutes it takes to write a personal thank you note or card and I am positive that the person on the receiving end will feel appreciated getting something hand writen. It shows you care enough to make time for them. It is nothing to send a text message to someone, or an e-mail but who really takes the time to send thank you cards any more? I love to send thank you cards.. actually I send notes but it’s the same concept. I want people to know that I appreciate them and everything they have done for me. I think thank you cards are under rated and should come back with a vengence :) ! Maybe this year consider sending personal thank you’s for every gift and card you receive. See the response and how good it makes you feel. You’d be surprised what a difference something so simple can make.
