The life that we live

Thanksgiving is over now and we have Christmas to look forward to. My Thanksgiving was an interesting one that’s for sure. Everything seemed to go wrong. The meal I ordered was to small, my roaster cord caught fire, and the meal wasn’t done cooking until 9 at night. It was a crazy day, but some how it was wonderful all the same. The food was terrible, the timing of everything was off, and everyone was starving long before dinner was done, but it didn’t matter. We were all together, my mom, my kids, and my best friend. It was  perfect. I don’t know how the holiday turned out ok other than us being together, it was really truly a happy holiday. Now I can’t wait until Christmas. I am getting ready for it now. This time I’m not ordering a meal though LOL I’m making my own food. Ham and Turkey with all of the trimmings, though it might be nice to have a goose for a change, or duck. Wouldn’t it be cool to have a classic meal not a modern day take? Anyway I don’t know that I could pull that off so I will probably stick to what I know. Except of course with the cookies, fudge, and desserts.. I always try new things and they Always turn out. I can’t wait until this years experiments.
